Two neighbourhoods wearing one name. West of Vine it is the tourist Hollywood of star-studded pavement, costumed hustlers and 1920s movie palaces; east along Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards it becomes Thai Town and East Hollywood, which is where the actual eating is and where almost no visitor goes.
Who it's for: Anyone who wants the film-history version of Los Angeles, and anyone who takes Thai food seriously — this is the densest Thai neighbourhood in the United States.
