Gwangalli is 1.4km of sand in Suyeong-gu facing a 7.4km suspension bridge that was relit in 2025 with 13,465 LEDs, one street of independent bars and roasters behind it, a free thousand-drone show every Saturday night, and eight Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants within about fifteen minutes' walk of each other. It is smaller, younger, cheaper and later than Haeundae, and it has the view Haeundae does not.
Who it's for: Anyone who read the Haeundae entry and thought the towers sounded like a lot. People who want to eat well without eating expensively — this is the densest concentration of Michelin Bib Gourmands in Busan and the cheapest of them is a ₩9,900 bibimbap. Drinkers, because the strip behind the sand is independent and open until 03:00 at weekends. Walkers, because the Igidae cliff path starts across the bay. Anyone arriving by KTX, since Busan Station is 10-15 minutes away by taxi rather than 25.
