Croatia's most photographed town, and it earns it: Rovinj (Rovigno to its Italian-speakers) is a tear-shaped huddle of ochre and terracotta houses rising straight out of the Adriatic, crowned by a Venetian-style campanile and laced with cobbled lanes too steep and narrow for cars.
